In 2022 Dave Baker decided to retire, and John decided to sadly close Patterson Price Real Estate and move his services back to Patterson Schwartz Real Estate. “There just wasn’t enough activity for me there anymore.” John gave up his New Jersey license in 2014 after 30 years of selling farms in the state. While selling over 38,000 acres to date, John acknowledges that there is no “normal” size to his listings. John has been fortunate over the years to have participated in a number of sales of large properties (several over 1,000 acres) and a 550 acre Maryland Farm that was almost $20 Million. John had previously sold the Baker family sprawling Middletown Agriculture operation, which has become a large multi award winning housing community. Baker, a prominent local farmer with a real estate license and a desire to buy into an ongoing business venture, purchased Patterson’s interest in the firm. Duncan Patterson ventured out to start Patterson Price Real Estate with a serious focus on selling land and farm properties in Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and Maryland. After 18 years of his early career with Patterson Schwartz Real Estate, he and W. John started his real estate business in 1979. ![]()
